Where can I find women's khaki overall shorts? I'm designing a costume for a friend of mine, and it needs khaki (or some other light brown) overall shorts. She's tall and thin, and the only place I've found them so far is Victoria's Secret, but that's $50 ordered online. I don't mind buying online if it's cheap enough, but there must be more affordable tan shotalls for women. Any ideas on where to look?

Should their be a crease in the center of each of the legs of women's casual pants including khakis and black? For example, should I put a crease in this type of pant?>
lindsey434 replied: "i think that it is appropriate and a classic look on dress pants and suits. not so much for causal slacks."

Terri S replied: "I would agree too...not so much for casual pants."

Mamaj replied: "Most of your casual pants like dockers look better with a crease. Dress pants such as those with belt loops and a front zipper, look good with a crease. Pants of drapey and soft fabric, elastic waist ones, and wide legged ones look better with no crease."

Linda S replied: "I think the styling and the details of the pants are more important in the decision of whether or not to crease than the colour. Some pants aren't meant to have creases. Some pants are designed to be very casual and very sporty or for work-wear, with details such as flap pockets, hammer loops, etc. Cotton pants such as cargoes and khakis don't need creases; that destroys the casual active lifestyle vibe they have. They have their origins in hiking, mountain climbing, jungle safaris or construction sites; all places where there's no point to creasing the pants. I think creases in pants that aren't meant to have creases looks fussy and old-lady-ish. Like one is trying to appear like they work or go hiking, but have never set foot in a forest or ever actually picked up a hammer or a nail. If the pants are cotton but don't have the flap pockets and sporty detailing and their styling is closer to dressy pants, with slant pockets, buttonhole pockets, then it's okay to crease the fronts of the pants, crease the backs to about the upper thigh, although the back crease is optional. You want a casual, unfussy look with pants like that. If the pants are made of good dressy fabrics and they are meant to be dressy, such as office, business or evening, then a good crisp crease is essential; both front and back. The pants should match the mood of their purpose. Never ever try to put a crease in classic five pocket riveted denim jeans. They are not designed for creases. Most jeans are cut slightly off grain in order to give them the slightly stretchy flexible fit that is so characteristic of jeans, the fit that makes them both durable and comfortable for both work and leisure wear. This off grain cut is essential for the proper fit in the inner thigh area, so the pants give a full range of leg movement. Since creases lay on the center front of the leg along the straight grain line, the lack of a center front straight grain means that the crease will not be on grain and twist. That's why creased jeans look and feel so odd. Also, never try to iron a crease into knit pants. The heat and drag of the iron will distort the shape of the pants. Knit pants have either a stitched crease or no crease. I hope this de-CREASES any confusion."

Do loose khakis look generally better on most people? That's what I've been realizing, for both men and women. Unless one has really nice legs, khakis look whole lot better with loose fit. I don't mean baggy baggy, I mean those "relaxed fit" ones. What do you think?

That Canadian Guy replied: "I love to wear loose fitting cargo shorts. (long shorts...)"

Drunken Sailor replied: "Yeah, their a really versatile style of clothing. You can wear it almost anywhere and it's appropriate. I love loose khakis myself. Ir's a nice change from the skin tight jeans."

Where can I find nice stretch jeans in khaki for plus size women? They are now making us wear khaki colored pants at work, effective the 1st and no one can find nice, streach jeans in khaki color for plus sizes, I spent an hour going through site's last night and all I could find was over $40 and for work that's too much. Any help would be appreciated. We are looking for sizes 20w to 28w adverage to tall's. thanks.

Ms_ replied: "have you try old navy?"

tiffy8813 replied: "have a look on ebay"

Charity replied: "Roamans.com / the Roaman's catalog carries these; you might also find some at Lane Bryant or Catherine's."

amber n san diego replied: "well its hard if your not willing to pay over 40$ that's really not that much... you can always go to a goodwill i can almost guarantee they will have them pretty cheap and if you don't care its just for work try there, you could go on eBay too but sounds like you need them a little sooner, so id say just go to a local thrift store"

Carla replied: "Try Old Navy. They have a plus size section. They are the best place to go for khaki pants at a reasonable price."

katie d replied: "fashion bug ,cato, jcpenny even try walmart, target and kmart.... you might be suprised... =&ProdCount=39&RecPtr=&ShowMenu=&TTYP=&ShopBy=0&RefPageName=CategoryAll.aspx&RefCatID=40056&RefDeptID=597&Page=99&CmCatId=597|MP|40056|40028"

gemini replied: "I'm plus size and tall. I had the same problem. Luckily jcpenneys was having a buy1 get 1 for $.01. I can tell you wal mart is a hit or miss. Target is a joke with plus size. Most people can't afford catherine's.The best is lane bryant, fashion bug, the avenue and Cato's. Lane Bryant is expensive but I love their clothes so I signed up on their mailing list and I get awsome coupons all the time. As a matter of fact I never buy there without them. Plus size is hard 2 find almost impossible when It comes to tall."

What is the first thought when you see a guy wearing khaki (think dark tan, not off white) pants? Women 16-28 ? I'm referring to simple house parties, social outings, nothing to dressy. Also, assume its well put together, emaning not sloppy or childish looking. I'm 20 fyi, Thanks for the help

Where to find low maintenance professional clothes for women? I like ann taylor, but all that stuff is 'dry clean only' and I have to iron it all the time. Is wash-and-wear business-casual a myth ... at least for women (I know they have wrinkle-free khakis for men)? links to websites are especially welcome! thanks : )

lici1212 replied: "Try H&M or a lower end department store such as Kohls or JC Penneys"

Do muslim women ever feel jealous of other women? Like how they have to wear those clothes and other women don't. Why do muslim women have to wear those clothes and the men don't? Is it just another religion that was created by a male dominated society? I think those big black bags they wear are quite unflattering and unnecessary. I'm not being racist btw. The other day I was walking through town with a normal t-shirt and pink khakis on and this muslim woman was staring at me like I was the devil. Why?

Anatol Kuragin replied: "Muslim women are much more ladylike than most Western women. I don't think they are jealous of you."

girlsjustwannahavefun666 replied: "Alot of women wil argue that it is their choice to wear what they do, and that is completeley true. However, I do have an issue with the fact that men don't have to wear something like this. I think that if it is good for one gender it is good for the other. I'd like to hear womens opions as to why they wear these things and men don't, cause I know there must be a reason (logical or not) and I'd like to hear the other side of the story."

Desert replied: "As a whole, I think that Muslim women who choose to wear a covering, do not feel jealous. If someone is forced to wear a covering, then they will feel jealous of those who don't have to wear it (and that jealousy could be directed at both Muslim and non-Muslim women, because there are many Muslim women who do not wear a covering). The other point that was raised as to why Muslim women wear a black covering and Muslim men do not. I asked this question myself. I come from a Muslim family and until not too long ago, I was a practicing Muslim though I don't practice religion much now. The traditional answer to this question is the following: Islam wants both men and women to protect their chastity since sex is allowed only in marriage. God gave physical beauty to women. So the open exhibition of that beauty is restricted in order to avoid temptation that can lead to "illegal" sexual activity. Thus women have to cover themselves and men do not, because they have beauty which is obviously tempting. I disagree with this reason because it is clearly a double standard. It is not women's fault that God gave them beauty. He then asks them to to hide it so that men would not be distracted. I think it is not fair to ask one gender to do something and not the other. If we follow that reason, then men should cover too so that women are not tempted either. I am not trying to mock the religion but that is my honest opinion about this issue. Like almost all religions, Islam is a male-dominated religion. So it is not unique in its double standards against women. Again, I think that if women choose to wear a covering, they should be allowed to do so. It is a matter of personal choice."

Trinity replied: "Some are, and I live in a town with the largest Pakistani Muslim population in city. I've had a few Pakistani Muslim girls tell me "You're lucky you get to wear skirts..my dad would chop my head off" or "you're lucky you can date. I wish I could date." Some Muslim guys can get jealous as well. I'm just being honest and speaking from my personal experiences. I know some Muslim women choose to cover up, and that's perfectly fine. However, I know the kind of "jealous" Muslim females that the OP is talking about. Also, some Muslims might be staring at you because they might think you're dressed like a whore. Wearing a tank top or fitted jeans can seem outlandish to some people."

Sky Witch replied: "They're repressed so of course they are jealous of other women, especially ones who have good-looking, acceptable, successful guys that shave their faces everyday."

superacer replied: "No, most Muslim women are not jealous of other women. If they are, then they're not true Muslims. They, for most part, like covering themselves up and dressing modesty. They see it not only as a symbol of their faith, but also as a form of protection. The woman probably did not like what you wore - it's difficult to tell. But I think Muslim women are generally not jealous of other women."

MissPortugal&Africa replied: "they are more ladylike and not all muslim women wear that many of my muslim freinds dont"

Shafeeqah replied: "They shouldn't."

rose_ovda_night replied: "Men and women both have to cover their unlawful nakedness. Since men and women differ in appearance and features, the unlawful nakedness also differs. Did you know that a man is not allowed to expose what is between his navel and his knees except to his wife? Did you know that the only woman he can look at between her navel and knees is his wife? On the other hand, a woman can look at a man's skin without lust if it is other than between the navel and knees. While men can not look at the skin of any marriageable woman to them except her face and hands. So how come you don't analyse the situation in this detail before you talk? You are a human. But God is the Creator of all of us, and He Knows more about us than what we know about ourselves."
